Muth et al1 published in JAMA Oncology a retrospective cohort study of all patients with cancer aged 15 to 39 years who received medical assistance in dying (MAID) in Alberta, Canada, between 2021 and 2022. Their comprehensive cancer registry and universal health care program allowed the authors to collect important data on all 34 patients with ages ranging from 18 to 44 years, 29% of them with children.
