The American Cancer Society (ACS) has updated its guideline recommendations for cervical cancer screening. The cervix is the bottom part of the uterus that connects it to the vagina. Regular screening for precancerous changes can greatly lower your chances of developing cervical cancer. This update reflects new research and advances in medical testing, and it builds on the previous ACS cervical cancer screening guideline from 2020.
