Do not jump too quickly to conclusions
Cet article livre un regard critique sur les travaux récents en défaveur des programmes de dépistage du cancer du sein
A great deal of misinformation has been promulgated about mammography screening. For example, there is no biological or scientific support for the us of the age of 50 as a threshold for screening. Mammography screening does not result in the massive amounts of overdiagnosis that a small group has suggested by using faulty methodology, and screening can still reduce deaths even if the rate of advanced cancers is not decreased. The results in this Netherlands study may be due to the screening interval and thresholds for intervention, but they do not show that screening is ineffective.
